As a Port Engineer, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring smooth and safe port activities. Your daily tasks will include managing port equipment, coordinating with vessels and cargo handlers, and implementing safety protocols. You will work in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems and making critical decisions that impact the entire supply chain.

In this role, you will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technology and industry-leading software, such as Port Community System (PCS) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). You will also collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including marine surveyors, cargo handlers, and IT specialists.

📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

• Manage and maintain port equipment, including cranes, tugboats, and other vessels.
• Coordinate with vessels and cargo handlers to ensure efficient loading and unloading of cargo.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with international maritime regulations.
• Monitor and report on port operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Work with the IT department to integrate and optimize port management software, such as PCS and EDI.
• Collaborate with marine surveyors to ensure vessels meet safety and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support to the port community, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Participate in training programs and workshops to stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in port operations, with a focus on equipment management and safety.
• Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent, preferably from the Indonesian Engineering Council (IEC).
• Familiarity with port management software, such as PCS and EDI.
• Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards, including ISM, ISPS, and SOLAS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a plus.
